Sandy Pond is located on the beautiful sandy shores of Eastern Lake Ontario.
Less than an hour north of Syracuse, N.Y. – Sandy Pond offers Great Fishing, Swimming, Boating, Awesome Beaches, & More!
The 16 miles of beautiful sandy shoreline is the only significant freshwater dune site in the northeastern United States!
The calm, protected waters of this sheltered fresh water inlet provides access to the Great Lake Ontario, and more than 16 miles of wonderful sandy beaches. Located in Oswego County (www.oswegocounty.com), just a few miles northwest of Pulaski, N.Y., and 45 minutes north of Syracuse, N.Y (click here for directions). Offering a pleasurable & affordable vacation area with outstanding boating, world class fishing, great swimming, water skiing, & more. The sunsets on Lake Ontario are awesome! Sandy Pond Resorts offers several affordable ways for you to enjoy this wonderful area.
Pictured above is North Sandy Pond, which is approx. 2.5 miles wide, and about 4.5 miles long. Access to Lake Ontario allows for outstanding recreational experiences. Among these are boat cruising to the many ports of Lake Ontario & the St. Lawrence River. In the photo above the waves in Lake Ontario are rolling towards the narrow strips of beach that seperate Sandy Pond from the Great Lake. Notice how calm the water in Sandy Pond is on the other side of the strips of beach. One of the primary benefits of being on Sandy Pond is when the “big water” of Lake Ontario becomes too rough, there’s always calm water to enjoy on the pond. This area is truly a boater’s paradise! If you love swimming, fishing and the beach – you just can’t beat Sandy Pond!
